According to Sam Pitroda, adviser to Prime Minister of India, a properly designed broadband rollout in the country can add 1 to 2 per cent to gross domestic product (GDP) of India. NEW DELHI: In order to provide broadband connectivity to over 2,50,000 village, the government will probably have to spend upto Rs 30,000 crore, Sam Pitroda, Advisor to Prime Minister, said today.
